I have been friends with Marcello for approximately 12 years. I have seen first-hand the quality of his work through firstly the renovations he did to his own apartment, and then via the building of his family home. I work in the development and construction industry, and have contacts and access to a variety of builders and tradespeople.

I am a very particular person, so when I decided to renovate my apartment, there was only one person I wanted to work with – Marcello. Others warned me not to mix business with friendship, but I knew Marcello to be a reasonable and honest person who takes pride in his work, and that I could trust him to treat me as he would any of his other clients. I was not wrong.

My home is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ground floor apartment built in 1993. My renovation entailed a brand new kitchen and en suite, new floor coverings, new paint, new fixtures and fittings and minor changes to the bathroom – essentially a whole new apartment! Marcello was a great sounding board when deciding exactly what my renovation would entail. He provided excellent advice, and I am grateful that I incorporated many of the suggestions he made.
Marcello always arrived at appointments on time, and he followed things up without me having to remind him. This is a rare trait these days!

I was completely satisfied with every trades-person that Marcello introduced to me and who worked on my renovation. They too were always reliable, offered sound advice and treated me with respect. Marcello has found tradespeople with similar attributes to his; guys he can rely on and who
co-ordinate and work well with each other. The quality of the team that Marcello has built around him is a reflection of his own high standards. Marcello estimated my renovation would take 4 weeks. On the Tuesday of the last week I inspected my apartment and was skeptical that he would be finished on time. While I didn’t witness what Marcello did, I know there would have been a significant amount of co-ordination and work at his end to ensure the job completed on time. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I walked in on the Friday evening – my apartment was 99% complete! There were a few minor items to be completed (e.g. grouting of the splashback and sealing around a new outside drain), which were done on either the Saturday morning or first thing Monday. There were very few defects and they were minor in nature. ALL of the defects were rectified within one week of handover. I have not had to call Marcello back for any reason since then.

My apartment is perfect – I would not change a thing and I could not be happier with it. Marcello brought my vision for my home to life, and for that I will forever be grateful to him. As mentioned, I work in the development industry, and I have not come across many people I would recommend to others. Marcello is an exception – I have no hesitation in recommending him as a quality, authentic, precise and reliable person and builder.

Marcello managed the extension to our family home. We lived in the property during construction and he was very mindful of our personal circumstances, particularly having small children around a building site.

We appreciated his professional approach, the site was always clean and tidy and our house was always secure and safe.

I would be happy to recommend Marcello to my family and friends and have done so already, we are about to start a renovation on a new property and will be using him again.
